The Christmas Heart is a feel-good holiday romance set in the beautiful snow-capped Swedish Alps. It’s the final book in the acclaimed Nordic Heart series, but can also be read as a stand-alone story.

Tall, dark, and handsome, Tom is out to have some fun. Kaisa doesn’t think she’ll ever fall in love again. When the two meet on the snow-capped Swedish Alps, sparks fly.

With his beloved mother passed, Tom leaves his ex in Milan and is looking forward to an uncomplicated Christmas skiing in Sweden.

When her daughter Rosa announces she’s going backpacking to the Far East, Kaisa decides to take a rare winter break over the holidays with her best friend Tuuli. Meeting Tom in an apres-ski bar makes Kaisa’s heart beat a little faster but knows an affair with him will go nowhere. Years ago, they had a disastrous date, which neither of them wishes to revisit.

Yet, as Tom showers Kaisa with his attentions, she cannot resist his intense eyes and passionate kisses.

Can Kaisa trust this European Casanova, and her own sudden infatuation?

What the early readers thought of The Christmas Heart

I thoroughly enjoyed The Christmas Heart, relishing in the steamy encounters between Kaisa and Tom. Halme really knows how to draw in her readers with her descriptive writing and vivid scenery. I felt like I was transported into the story walking in a white utopia with a charming and dashing older man. Halme’s refreshing prose and writing style makes for an engaging satisfying read. The dialog between the characters is impressive and written very well. The Christmas Heart was humorous at times but also very heartfelt and the perfect holiday novel for this season. An absolute marvelous read that I would highly suggest for anyone looking to warm their heart and soul for the holidays. – Chick Lit Cafe

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the setting.
The book was engaging and you can easily relate to the characters.
I liked the lesson in the story as well – we all deserve a second/third chance and it is better to live for the moment and see what happens …

____________________________

I loved this book.

The characters are wonderful.
I loved reading about a mature woman …

____________________________

Kudos for giving a mature woman an active life and a sex drive!

____________________________

I loved the setting of the story. A winter ski resort is always magical, and to read about one in Sweden is fascinating.

It’ll be another 5-star review from me!

I loved this book! I love winter and ski resorts and felt very familiar with the story. In an alternative universe this could have happened to me! We, mature women, need stories like this. They make us feel more alive.

Here’s the full blurb:
When trust is betrayed by those closest to you, can love still find its way?

Kat, a TV producer nursing a shattered heart from a celebrity chef's betrayal, seeks refuge in Lapland. There, she crosses paths with Mikael, a Finnish ski instructor from a wealthy mining dynasty.

Their worlds collide like ice and fire, yet an irresistible attraction blooms. Kat, an ardent vegan and environmental advocate, has sworn off holiday romances. Mikael embodies everything she detests about privilege: fast cars, inherited wealth, and disregard for the environment.

But destiny has other plans. When disaster strikes in Lapland's pristine wilderness, Kat and Mikael find themselves drawn together. In their struggle for survival, they uncover shared values and a connection they never expected.

Will Kat's heart thaw, granting her a second chance at love, or will it remain frozen forever?

To Melt A Frozen Heart whisks you from London's bustling streets to Lapland's enchanting landscapes, where the Northern Lights and twinkling stars illuminate Kat and Mikael’s path.
